Message from Sis. Pam McKinney-Brown:
We met today for our second gather to discuss the church school. The enthusiasm is high and we are moving forward seeking God's leading and wisdom. Our next meeting will be held Saturday evening, August 3, 2013 from 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the Greater Albany Seventh-day Adventist Church, 298St. Agnes Highway, Cohoes, NY 12047. Continue to pray that God's purpose will be accomplished. I am forwarding to you as attached the 10 Days of Prayer and Fasting outline prepared by Martina Marius and Karille Ormsby. We know that nothing done for God can be accomplished without heart felt pray and fasting. He is the power source and without the Spirit's leading we are merely going through the motions.
Please review the outline and choose to participate. Martina and Karille would like the start the fast tomorrow, July 21, 2013.

My Dear Friends,
It was indeed a wonderful Sabbath evening! The Lord wants us to "Come and reason together" for the advancement of His cause. My prayer is that you will trust in His guidance and be bold in you undertaking. Remember what God has ordained He will maintain, ask for His blessing upon your decisions.
If your decision is to be a branch of Avondale Rise Christian Academy, we will move forward with a representative nominating committee with recommendations for an administrator, school principal and administrative secretary. In addition, there should a sign up sheet for individuals who would be willing to teach (part-time or full time), monitors, assistance with school maintenance, meals, etc. A list of interesting families with a count of prospective students and grade levels.
Before the church board is addressed for use of the building, you must have a plan in place to show validity for need. Number of students will be a valid indication that truly we are going in the right direction. Let us show our love for each other and our love for God as we place this before Him in prayer. He will reward proportionately.

Greetings,
We had a great meeting this past Sabbath at the Greater Albany Church. There was much excitement and enthusiasm about making our dreams of a church school a reality. Christina Jospeh challenged us on "why" we want a school. Her dedication and commitment to Christian Education was genuine and contagious.
We agreed to meet again this coming Sabbath, July 20th: Same place, Same time. Greater Albany at 3:30 p.m. Christina advised that we get a head count of the number of children we believe will be available. She also suggested that we consider who might be the principal and the administrator. There are a number of things that must be worked out, but God will take care of that.
We ask that the Greater Albany Church Board discuss whether we can use the school at their next Board meeting. For those of you who were not present, the concept is a non-denominational Christian school. It would not be a Conference school.
Mrs. Joseph highlighted the fact that Christian Education is a ministry. Parents and members alike must move forward with an evangelistic mind set. Please try to make the meeting on Sabbath, July 20th. Your input and support are greatly appreciated. If God is in it, IT CAN HAPPEN. We just need to "put our feet in the water."
